The rules for using Kiky Notes, in plain language.
Last updated: October 3, 2026
In short
Kiky Notes is free to download and use, supported by ads, with optional paid plans (Plus and Ultra) that remove ads and add cloud features. Your notes stay yours. Free credits and credits from watching videos are a courtesy that we can change at any time, and video credits vary by country. Some features and your account involve data leaving your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the app you agree to these terms.
Who we are and what these terms cover
Kiky Notes is published by Kiky Apps (developer: Everton Kozloski). These terms are the agreement between you and Kiky Apps for the Kiky Notes Android app and the Kiky account and cloud services behind it (together, the “Service”). By tapping to accept them when you first open the app, or by using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Questions: [email protected].
What the Service is
Kiky Notes captures text with your camera and recognizes it (OCR), organizes your notes, and opens and edits documents such as PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, SVG and Canvas notes.
The free version is free to download and use and is supported by advertising. It is not “freeware” in the sense of being free of conditions: it has ads, limits and optional paid plans.
Some features need an account or run on our servers (cloud OCR and AI, backup assistance, notifications). They are optional and are explained inside the app before you use them.
We may add, change or remove features. We will try to give notice of changes that significantly affect you.
Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on your own Android devices, for personal or business use, in line with these terms. You may not:
copy, redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense or publish the app, or build derivative works from it;
reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it;
remove, bypass or tamper with ads, limits, credits, licenses, security checks (such as device integrity checks) or the way the app counts usage;
use the Service to attack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer our servers, or to access other people’s accounts.
The source code, name, logo and the Kiky brand remain ours or our licensors’.
Plans, payments and credits
The Service has a free plan and optional paid plans:
Free: shows ads and includes a limited amount of free credits for cloud features. See “Free credits” below: they are a courtesy and can change at any time.
Plus: removes ads, adds password-protected (masked) notes and encrypted backups, and includes cloud OCR and AI with monthly credits.
Ultra: everything in Plus, with more cloud capacity.
Features and limits of each plan are shown in the app and may change over time. The plan screen always shows what applies to you.
Paid plans are subscriptions sold and billed by Google Play. They renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play (Play Store > Payments & subscriptions). We never see your card details.
Refunds and cancellations follow Google Play’s policies and applicable consumer law. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep the paid features until the end of the period you already paid.
Credits are a usage allowance for cloud features. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may expire at the end of their period, as shown in the app. Some actions, such as watching a rewarded video ad where offered, can earn free credits, within the limits shown.
When a paid plan ends, you go back to the free plan. Your notes and files on your device stay with you. Features that depend on the plan stop or pause (for example, encrypted backups pause and cloud credits return to the free allowance), but you can always restore your own backups.
Free credits
The free credits that come with the free plan are a courtesy, not a right or a purchased product. This means:
We can change them at any time, with or without notice: the amount, how often they are released, the caps, how long they last, which features they can be used on, and we can pause or end them altogether.
They can be different from one user, country, app version or period to another, for example because of costs, availability of cloud capacity, tests, abuse prevention or business decisions.
You have no right to a minimum amount or to keep any balance of free credits, and we owe no compensation when they change, run out or expire.
The amount of free credits shown in the app at any moment is what applies at that moment. Unused free credits can expire as shown in the app.
Credits that come with a paid plan follow the plan description shown when you subscribe. If we materially reduce what a plan includes during a period you already paid for, we will tell you and give you the options the law requires, such as cancelling and a proportional refund.
Credits from watching videos
Where the app offers it, you can watch a rewarded video ad to earn free credits. These credits are part of the free credits above and also work as follows:
The amount of credits you earn per video is not fixed. It depends on the advertising revenue the video generates, which varies with the country or region, the ad network and advertisers, the type of ad and the time. In practice, the same video can earn a different amount for different people and in different countries.
We can change how many credits a video gives, the daily or periodic limits, or turn the feature off, at any time and without notice.
There is no guarantee that a video will be available. Ads depend on third parties and may not load, may be unavailable in your country, or may be limited by the ad network.
You only earn credits if you watch the video until the end and our server validates the reward. If the video is closed early, fails or cannot be validated, no credits are granted.
Your country is determined by signals such as your Google Play country and network. Hiding or faking your location, using emulators, automated tools or several accounts to earn credits is prohibited and can lead to credits being removed and the account being suspended.
Credits from videos are not a wage, income or payment for your time. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred.
Ads
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Plus and Ultra remove them.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom) we ask for your consent before personalized ads, and you can change your choice later in Settings.
Do not click ads artificially or use tools to generate ad views, impressions or rewards. We may remove credits or suspend accounts that do.
Your account
You can use many features without an account. To use plans, credits, notifications and cloud features you need a Kiky account, which you can create with Google, Microsoft or your email.
Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account and data at any time on the account and data deletion page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other users at risk.
Your content and cloud features
You keep all rights to your notes, documents, images, audio and anything else you create or import. We do not claim ownership of them.
When you choose a cloud feature, you allow us to process the content you send only to provide that feature to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Files and results are deleted automatically within about two hours after the task finishes.
You confirm that you have the right to use what you send, and that it is not illegal or does not violate others’ rights.
OCR, translation, summaries, transcripts and other automatic results can contain mistakes. Check them before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial or safety-related decisions.
Data and privacy
Most of the app works on your device, and text recognition runs on your device by default. Beyond that, the Service collects only what each feature needs. In summary:
Account and device data (email, sign-in name or ID, device name, app version and a push notification token) so we can run your account, licenses and notifications.
Content you choose to send to cloud features, kept only briefly as described above, plus a technical record of the task (type, status, time and credits used) for support and abuse prevention.
Advertising data collected by Google AdMob in the free version.
Anonymous usage statistics, only if you choose to share them. This is off by default and you can change it at any time in Settings.
Optional backup to a hidden folder of your own Google Drive. In Plus and Ultra you can protect it with a backup password that only you know: if you forget it, nobody can recover that backup, not even us.
The full details, including how long we keep data and your rights, are in the Privacy Policy.
Backups and your data
Keep your own copies of what matters to you. The optional backup and the export tools help, but no system is perfect and the Service is not a guarantee that data will never be lost. If you use a backup password, keep it in a safe place.
What you can do
You are welcome to:
use the app for personal or business purposes, on your own devices;
capture, recognize, write, organize, edit and export your own content and content you have the right to use;
use the free plan with ads, and the paid plans according to what they include;
use cloud features within your credits, for content that you have the right to send;
back up and restore your own data, and delete your account and data whenever you want;
share the results you create (exports, documents, images) as you see fit, respecting the rights of others.
What you cannot do
You must not:
upload or process content that is illegal, or that infringes copyright, privacy or other rights;
use cloud features to produce or spread malware, fraud, harassment, disinformation campaigns or other illegal content;
try to bypass or abuse credits, limits, licenses, ads, rewards or the security of the Service, or use extra accounts, emulators, scripts, location tricks or other means to get more credits;
share, resell or transfer paid access or credits in ways the plan does not allow;
use automated or abusive volumes of requests that harm the Service for others, or probe, scrape or attack our servers;
access someone else’s account or data, or help others do any of the above.
If you break these rules we can remove credits, limit features, or suspend or close your account.
Third-party services
The Service works with services from other companies, such as Google Play (purchases), Google AdMob (ads), Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications), Google Drive (optional backup) and Google or Microsoft sign-in. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they do, and we are not responsible for them.
Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, or the whole Service, with reasonable notice where possible. If we discontinue a paid feature you are still paying for, we will offer a fair solution, such as a proportional refund when required by law.
Disclaimer and limit of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Kiky Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event, or to the minimum the law requires.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under the law, including consumer protection rights.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and, if you wish, deleting your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers and liability) will continue after the end.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced in the app or on this site, and the date at the top always shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, stop using it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you may also use the courts of your place of residence where the law gives you that right.
